  • Wineries in Napa Valley

Craftsman Inn, Calistoga, California, wineHow many in a day?

How many wineries your visit in one day depends on the tasting rooms you choose and the pace you are comfortable with. For a popular winery, allow about 30 minutes to an hour, around 30 minutes for longer tours and tasting. Most wineries are open from around 9-10 AM until 4:30 or 5 PM. Make sure to allow for travel time and a stopping to appreciate the scenery and a nice lunch. A full day would be around 6-8 winery visits, and we would recommend 4-6 for a more relaxing visit.

    Where to visit?

The are over 250 wineries in the valley, that's actually a tough question! We try to find out what people are looking for so we can base our advice on their preferences. Visit our website to see our Napa Winery guide that includes some personal favorites grouped around some themes that guests often find useful in putting together a list of wineries to visit.

However, even living here, we don’t know every winery and that part of the fun of Napa! If you see something on drive don't be afraid to stop! And if it's great, please share!
